I understand the IG is like the IIIg but without a built in rangefinder. It has 2 accessory shoes on top and was probably intended for use primarily for medical and scientific purposes. This camera show no signs of use anywhere. It was made in 1957 or 1958 and is one of 6,000. The question is, would it be worthwhile to have it lubricated, before selling it, since the shutter is sluggish from non-use for 42 years? Would a collector prefer a Ig body that has been virtually dormant from day one, to be left unopened, or cleaned and lubed to function at spec? Any advise would be gratefully received.
