I have a 90mm Leica lens from Canada. 

Can someone fill me in on this lens? I see other Leica branded lenses that come from Canada. What's the deal with these? A lesser variety?

I also have an f2 50mm lens that has a little detent on it. You can lift the focusing ring to lift a tab over over that detent. What's the purpose of that.

Do I have to turn in my camera for not knowing this? <yeah, right, don't even THINK the answer to THAT question, sorry I asked.>
