The 1.0 is better all around though it has more obvious vignetting at the wider apertures. The 1.2 was IMHO inferior to recent Summilux 50s and offered no advantage wide open over a slower lens with film pushed 0.5 stops. Of course there might conceivably be situations where a half stop and reduced sharpness might make the picture but it never happened to me. Both Noctis have warmer rendition than standard Leica lenses. It sure is a fine looking optic though! - -- Adrian Bradshaw Corporate and Editorial Photography Beijing, China tel/fax +86 10 6532 5112 mobile +86 139 108 22292 e-mail apbbeijing@yahoo.com OR adrianpeterbradshaw@compuserve.com website: http://www.apbphoto.com http://www.liaisonintl.com/bradshaw.htm http://www.liaisonintl.com/bradshaw_e.htm _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
