You seem to fit well within MY version of proper etiquette. It is some people's version of what they think is proper etiquette. I think this is indicative of that person's state of mind as your tone. It is as much about the listener as the speaker. Erwin, you do a fine job of expressing your views - even more so since English is not your first language. To some your writings may seem to be sermons or preachy. And to others simply expositions of your findings. Same message, very different understandings. I doubt you can change anything that will cure this problem. Why do we argue so long about things we believe in or that we claim to know? Ask your ego.
