I have been doing C-41 at home for years using Kodak Chemistry usually purchased in bulk (3-1/2 gal kits for the Developer) and cut down for one-shot use. (Developer Part A 30cc per pint, Part B 3.8 cc per pint, and Part C 4.5 cc per pint; mix Beach and Fix in quart quantities amd resuse until exhaustion - about 12 sq feet per quart -- Kodak has tons of literature on this). Based on the ambient temperature in my darkroom, if I use a water bath to heat developer to 104 degrees F, it is emptied at 96 degrees after 3:15 minutes. I print negatives on a Durst RCP 40 processor, Focotar II enlarging lens on a big old Chromega D, and use a Colorstar 3000 analyser. I'm a lot happier with the results than I am with most local labs. Do not be scared of C41 processing im a home darkroom. Try it! Ed Kowaleski Bill Lawlor wrote: > A good bit of the info I've found has been negative.
