The plan for our system of Government (our Constitution) is still unique to the world. It seeks to place the rights of the Individual higher than the will of the majority by restraining Government to its Due Bounds. As the events this week are showing the world, our Federal Government is NOT a Democracy, but rather a Constitutional Republic. Now that this has become plain, there may be a push to change that and make us more a Democracy where the majority of the electorate chooses our CEO directly, and not our Representative Electors.
