:

a question for those luggers who've set up web sites displaying 35mm
photographs:

is there an ideal size (in pixels, i suppose) for jpegs of 35mm images? by
ideal, i mean a size that will fit on most screens ('cept maybe the
tiniest) without requiring the viewer to scroll hither and yon to get 'the
whole picture,' as they say.

any scanning tips for images intended to appear on the (computer) screen?
i've scanned plenty of b&w photos for print, but have yet to do so for the
screen. i'm in the early stages of setting up a site and would like to have
an idea of how best to get the images from paper (and i will be scanning
prints, not negs) to screen, before i go and do it all wrong (my usual
technique) and then have to do it over again.

thanks in advance for your help.

guy
