First, I printed some indoor available light pictures made with a IIIa and a Summar on HP5Plus. Since shot at f2, the pictures were flat and lacking in contrast. The softness had a slightly dreamy affect. Next, I printed a contact sheet of the pictures I took inside the Rio Casino in Las Vegas last week with a M4-2 and a newly acquired Noctilux. These pictures were all shot at F1 with shutter speeds mostly at 1/250 and a distance of 20 feet. I used HP5Plus also. The contact sheet shows the pictures to be sharp and with good contrast. Tuesday, I'll try some enlargements. However, I seem to see why you all seem to praise the Noctilux. I am sure I am going to like this lens even though I will probably have to have a standing appointment with a chiropractor to undo the spinal problems caused by carrying its weight on a strap around my neck.
