It's all relative anyway ;!) I was educated as a mathematician, and 
make a horrible accountant!

I agree that pedagogy in printing depends on what one wants to 
teach, and to learn. Mapping curves in Photoshop do a good job of 
imitating analog processes, but there's not much education in 
putting a memory card in a machine and pressing the print button.
