I'm pondering selling my Summicron 35mm f2 2196xxx. This is the chrome Wetzlar lens without eyes but with the locking tab. Even though it's an older lens, the results are very nice indeed, especially for work at medium apertures. For all this, however, I suspect that the ASPH would be an improvement which explains my possible interest in selling. But I'm ambivilent enough that it would depend on what my old lens is worth. Would anybody care to venture an opinion on this? I'd describe the lens as meeing Shutterbug's EX + criteria of 90-95% original finish. There is one very small scuff on the barrel that I can see, and a slight scuff along the aperture ring where the lens cap velvet rests. The red plastic dot is in place, but most importantly the glass is perfect as best as I can tell, with no haze that I have ever been able to see. The diaphragm is likewise perfect. The cap is the nice chrome metal one with the red velvet intact, although the cap shows wear. It also has a period plastic rear cap & if I sold the lens it would come with the IROOA hood, which fits a variety of 35mm and 50mm lenses and which is in very good to mint- condition. If anybody could give me an idea of value I'd appreciate it. Thanks! Simon Stevens
