One of the things people forget is that most film comes in metal cans which
provide a certain degree of protection against low-power x-rays. I have
taken 1600 film backwards and forwards through airport x-ray machines and
some of it has even slipped into my hold luggage... I have never noticed the
slightest degree of fogging. This is with BW materials. High speed color
reversal materials I would take more care with.
