If you just want a high mag finder and do not mind the lack of a 35mm frameline then the M3 would be a much less expensive way to go. If you want the 0.85 finder as it has the 35mm frameline, then it would be less expensive to just buy a used 0.85 TTL than to purchase a good M2 and have it converted. Even if you already have a good M2, it would be better to sell the M2 and buy the aforementioned TTL. Finally, if your M2 has a blacked out finder that is beyond repair, then......go for it!
