Soon you will see a photo book published by Abrams detailing the trend: "The Antiquarian Advant Garde." All about the revival of wet plate photography, paper negatives, pinhole cameras; so why not a Leica 0? Those of us who still practice silver photography should realize they are holding on to 19th C. technology and that there's really no where to go but backwards. The real world of imaging has already moved on to digital. That leaves the hobbiest, the "artist," the nosalgia buff and the old timer to play with film and paper in a darkroom. Digital photography and ink jet printing, etc., is still in its childhood. It's safe to say that what ever complaints we have now about visual and archival quality will probably be addressed in the next five or 10 years. It's like hi-fi and stereo. There are the folks who still insist that tube technology is better than the transistor. An old McIntosh amp will cost you just about as much as a Leica 0. Arthur
