I swapped the basket over after a misload, and haven't had one since.... 
 There were two schools of 'thought' (or on this list sometimes it becomes 
religion).  One is, Leica designed the camera with the basket, and 
therefore you MUST use the basket.  Second is Tom A designed the 
RapidWinder without the basket (and claims you don't need to use it), so 
you do NOT need to use the basket...

I just use the basket...
