to my final edit when I am using Ms as well. I would like to have Leica R

Have you tried the Novoflex adapters that will let you mount Leica R lenses 
on Canon EOS bodies?  Of course, you will have to focus manually, and are 
limited to stop down metering in manual or aperture priority modes.  TTL 
flash may work.  I don't know because I have not used this adapter (yet!).  I 
learned about this in Stephen Gandy's website
