I too have a C1 and it is excellent.  I think the C1 is the one to get if a
high quality zoom lens is a requirement but there is a better fixed focal
length alternative in the Ricoh GR1s.  The 28mm f/2.8 on the Ricoh is
astounding quality for a camera of its size and price.
