RE: [Leica] 50mm lens

Mine has a serial number of 336etc, and it's the series previous to the
current one - detachable hood and focussing tab.  I'd bet your lens is of
this series as well.  I, like many others, prefer the mechanical design of
this lens to the current one.  They're optically identical.
