Probably only at very close distances.  Anyway, it would still be simpler to 
exchange viewfinders from neighboring shoes than to go between body and bag.  
Come to think of it, by using another 2-shoe adaptor in the first (and 
perhaps one more in the second), you could create a set of "deer antlers" for 
the M6 that would hold several finders, a flash, and bubble level all at once 
; )
