Erwin, you're a nice guy, and so's Jim, but Jim plain out said, like Moses
coming off the mountain, that the craft of photography was impossible with a
scanner and an inkjet. You couldn't do it in Photoshop. In fact he accused
those who used photoshop of fixing up their images to hide their sloppy
technique. If it wasn't ignorant, it was at least naive, and more
importantly it was NOT said in the tone of discussion but of assertion. It
was pretty insulting to anyone who prides themselves on their craft AND uses
a scanner and an inkjet. People got upset: big surprise.
