This is some information I provided to Bill Grimwood which I suppose some
other LUG members may find useful.

Hey Bill !

Glad to hear you'll be enjoying Boston in October, our very best
month.

In answer to your question, first I would check with Marriott and
see if they have a courtesy bus or some other form of transport, a service
offered by some hotels. While taxis are not generally over abundant around
town, they are easy to catch at the airport. I have never taken a cab from
the airport to Burlington, but my guess is that it would run in the fifty to
sixty dollar range, depending on traffic conditions. A taxi would probably
be my recommendation, especially if you could arrange to meet other LHSA
members at the airport and share a ride to Burlington.

Actually, Bill, I just checked with Marriott, and they use the
service of the M & L Bus lines to provide shuttle service to the Marriott in
Burlington. The bus runs approximately once every hour. What you must do
is telephone M & L when you arrive at Logan Airport to arrange a pick-up at
your terminal. The telephone number is 781-938-8646, which is not a long
distance call. The ride costs $22.00 each way. Thus, three LUGgers in a
cab in theory will get to the hotel quicker and cheaper, unless you
encounter one of our Lagos quality traffic jams (or "Go Slows" as they're
called in Lagos).

Let me know if I can help you out with any additional information.,
it will be my pleasure.

Thanks for your offer for information on driving in Boston. I will be
flying in to attend the LHSA convention in October. It is being held at
the Boston Mariott in Burlington. What is the best way to get to the hotel
from the airport? I don't want to rent a car unless I have to.

Thanks
