They call it "Pushing." I call it unerexposeing and overdeveloping. DEVELOP FOR THE HIGHLIGHTS AND EXPOSE FOR THE SHADOWS. The highlights are those black areas of the neg. The shadows are the thin, almost clear areas of the neg. Mark Rabiner
