In the countries I am most familiar with (Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark,
Switzerland, Germany, France) it seems that the most common  B&W film is
T-Max 100 or T-Max 400, and Ilford's Delta equivalents. Tri-X is
available, of course, but you may have to go to a specialty shop, whereas
the modern films can be had even in drugstores and the like.
