Well, you can. And I did fiber in a Jobo before setting up a real darkroom.

BUT:
(1)you have to tone by time rather than by inspection
(2)you have to be meticulous in cleaning out the tank after finishing a
print or the selenium toner will carry over to the next print and stain the
paper
3)test strips require processing to completion which takes time
