Subject: [Leica] Summarit Filters

Can someone verify that there are 2 versions of the Summarit that use
different filters. 

I think there is a bayonet filter version as well as a filter thread
version. 

If so, how do you verify what someone is selling, if they are not too
knowledgable. Can the serial number determine? or must you just look at
the lens and know?
