It's sad that more and more newspapers are obsessed with getting seven stories on 1a and one small photo, rather than giving up a little copy to give the day's big story good visual display. It's one weapon they have to combat an assault from TV and the WEB, but many editors are too busy trying to please everyone from the publisher to corporate know-it-alls who have focus grouped every conceivable subject to death, to worry about visual impact.
