Subject: [Leica] how long to change a Speed Grapgic

Someone asked how long it takes to change the film on a Speed Graphic. The
answer is not much more time than to advance a Leica if you take it away
from you eye and don't have one of Tom's winders. They used "film packs" of
10 sheets which slid into a holder that fit the back like a double dark
slide. Film was separated by a paper pull out that brought the fresh
unexposed sheet into register at the film plane. A bit like the rip and tear
of the Polaroid. I believe there are rapid loaders made today by Fuji that
are similar. I seem to remember that the pack film was thinner than the
individual sheets and harder to load into hangers for development -- but I
trying to remember back forty years.
