I am old enough and seen enough that I am no longer silent when I see (and know) that something is crap. Most of us recognize crap but many are duped into thinking (pretending) that it is worthy of some stature. In art, it seems it is who you know, not what you can do. I have been to the premier openings of numerous artists(?), which were people that I knew reasonably well, and when I heard the art promoter's spiel and read the literature about the artist, I was sure they were talking about someone else. It sure wasn't the person I knew! It is amazing how people can be buffaloed. Jim
