Not the old black chrome plate. I think the BACK DOOR, however, is black chrome...not painted. I sold out of mine, so I'll let you know for sure in November when they ship them again.<g> I'm 99% sure and I'll bet a few people on this list have them now and can tell you 100%. BTW, a customer brought in to show me the first LHSA model I sold and, yes, in two weeks it has already shown edge brassing. It is a nice look to my eye, but if you buy one to use you better LIKE the patina of brassing blk paint cameras. later, Rich
