Play with them before you start photographing. Kids (up to a certain age, anyway) relate through play, and they generally take very quickly to any adult who's willing to play with them. This will definitely loosen the kids up to the point where you can get some shots that aren't posed. The downside is that (in my case, at least) they can often get _too_ loose and start wrestling with you whenever you try to shoot a photo. :) Regards, Dan
