My choices:

A -

B - Mary Ellen Mark: Falkland Road, T&H 1981, ISBN 0500272301
Possibly the best photo book about an Indian subject by a western snapper.
Sublime colour, compassionate approach. Limits herself to depicting
prostitution as a personal predicament rather than an organised criminal
racket.

C - Harold Evans, Pictures on a page, Heinemann 1978, ISBN 0434905534
By the then editor of the Sunday Times, this book is required reading for
anyone interested in making or understanding photofeatures.
