I've got a Metz 40 and a 35 with all of the intermediate parts to hook them up to the R8 and a Vivitar for the M's, but I only use them to make money, only for assignments I drive to, and I'm always very nervous until I actually see the results. (Did that flash actually go off?) The Noctilux may be a little heavy, but I know when I take the photo what it will look like. I love the freedom that available light gives me. I'd never be able to carry all of that flash equipment and all of the necessary batteries all over Central America. Thanks goodness my M6's and the R6.2 use tiny little batteries. The older I get, the less I want to carry! I've been practising lifting my carry-on that contains all of my film. It weighs 36 pounds and I can barely lift it over my head to get it into the overhead compartment.
