A lot of cameras just don't have them, and my suspicion is that it is because they only came into vogue with Japanese SLRs. Light seals are probably easier to make than complex tooling to make baffles. Some observations: Rolleiflex: baffles Canon rangefinders: baffles Russian rangefinders: black yarn or foam Russian 6x9 folders: baffles Hexar RF: baffles plus rubber gaskets Most Japanese fixed lens RFs: light seals SLRs: light seals
