Thanks everyone for the feedback.  I was surprised to see so many responses!
Now that I've been rendered softie-less I'm not so sure I want to go back to
using one.  True, it does make the shutter release extremely gentle, but
it's so big that I've accidentally tripped the shutter a few times while not
actively shooting.  Maybe it's just a bit _too_ big.

Anyone else in LUG-land have the same experience of trying the softie and
going back to no-softie?
