I'm certain that the negative will scan and print more easily than
using traditional darkroom techniques.

I'm not so sure. The ability to use Photoshop is not easily gained, not in
"subtle" forms, and the less subtle techniques only compress the information
to make it easier to print. Either way, there is art/craft skills involved.
To get every ounce of image from a negative is not an easy task digital or
"wet".
