There is an appeal to me for this lens, it is just so slow! If it was at
least a f/2.8 the travel/walkabout appeal would be much higher.

A 35/50/(75 or 90) version has also been mentioned by some as more
desirable, but for me I think they just have to get it to f/2.8,
whatever it is.
