HP5+ is my preferred 35mm film. It is not as sharp as some, but it has a
greater range of tonality than most other 35mm films, and I prefer tonality
to sharpness most of the time. HP5+ in Xtol 1:1 works wonderfully, and I
use it in 35mm, 2 1/4 and in 4x5. It is consistent across the formats, and
that is something that Tri-X lacks.

Delta 100 is a great film, and my other preferred 35mm load. It doesn't
have the same range of tones, however.
