Anders,

You are absolutely right !!  The Hasselblad family did run a "department 
Store" of sorts as one of the original family businesses.  It developed into 
a camera store type of business after many years.  The buildings which house 
the Hasselblad headquarters and factory are the former store site.  A couple 
of years ago when I was given a tour I was shown many of the old offices from 
the store days which have been preserved in their original state.
