Thanks again, > Dave Schaller What are you going to test? Neither the lens nor the camera has an aperture linkage. The alignment of the lens is irrelevant. If the lens is giving you underexposures, it can only be because of a problem with the aperture setting. If you set f:5.6 but the diaphram moves to a effective f:11 you'll be two stops underexposed. But rotating the lens can't change anything. If the Heliar is rotated too far, I suppose the hood could cause vignetting, but that would have no effect on most of the image.
