I do use a 24mm and a 17mm on my Canon F-1. The 24 gets used perhaps 10 times as often as the 17. The 17mm is very wide, and I must be very careful to avoid the dreaded "ultra wide for the sake of ultra wide" look. The 15mm Heliar would be even worse. With the 24mm, you can have the benefits of a rather wide angle lens, without having to jump through hoops in order to have pleasing perspective. Of course, if you want the vertigo inducing effects of an ultra-wide lens, don't bother with the Skopar. Get the Heliar. ;-) Peter Jon White > >Basicall, what rationale made you either pick one over the > other, or in the > >event you have both- which situations do you find yourself using one > >particular lens or another? > >Thanks! > >Dan (who can be serious when he wants) Post
