But John do you think that this lens, and by extension all lens, are focused
at infinity when
1) they are hard against the focusing ring stop
 or instead
2) when the rangefinder says they are?

Which do I believe the focusing ring stop or the rangefinder?

Either way, from the advice I have been receiving on and off the list, my
new lens requires adjusting.   Dale
