I posted this before, but you and I seem to agree. Make a Leica M a high end
digital camera by substituting the removable back flap with a digital sensor
and house the media storage and electronics along with the batteries in a
case like a moter drive attached in place of the bottom plate.  All you
would need is a machinical device to hold the shutter open and perhaps Leica
would design some lenses for the purpose. It would work on any M camera.
