The Nikon RFs were all cloth shuttered, like the Leicas. AFAIK Godfrey the shutter material changed during production such that early SP's and S3's had cloth and late ones titanium. My SP has titanium curtains for example. I have read that the early F's had cloth, although whether they made it past the prototype stage I do not know. It is amazing how many parts from the rangefinders were used on the F. Cheers Frank
