Starting out, I assisted a food photographer and saw some "interesting" techniques on the part of the food stylist: - - Armor All used to shine hamburger buns, w/ sesame seeds applied by hand one at a time! - -Sorting through 30 bags of chips, for the "pretty", symmetrical ones - -Clothes steamers used to make melted cheese stay melted - -Pretty much any type of meat was well cooked on the outside, and raw on the inside then painted to touch it up. Needless to say, everything on set was inedible after it had been styled! After all this I no longer am disappointed that my food never looks like the picture on the box or at the restaurant, I know it never will. Mark Rutledge markrut@ticnet.com
