Well, I just got my M2 back from my favorite repair person yeaterday. It is
beautiful.  It purrs like a pussy cat, quietly going buzz whirr and click. The
focusing helical was frozen on the lens so he spent much time with me freeing
it up. He finaly took the lens out of the focusing mount and heatend the mount
on a hot plate. It worked the lens now focuses just fine. He pointed out where
some former person repair or otherwise had taken a screw driver and tried to
free the helicals leaging a trail of tiny goughes on the edge of the helical,
but they don't show and don't effect the performance of the venerable old
collapsable summicron.

Today is such a great day because I get to go out shooting with it.bye bye!
