Over here (Hamburg, Germany), I use a photo finisher (it is not a one hour lab) round the corner as my mail order agent. Some big lab comes and collects films for developing and printing each night and brings back the finished work before lunch the next day. They also supply most films. This boils down to twentyfour hour delivery without any surcharges, and they supply most b&w films too. Perhaps this works in your place too, but you have to ask.
