Another nifty portrait trick (with caucasians anyway) is to shoot Ilford
XP-2 at about E.I. 50. You get sharp eyes and hair, but it "crowds" the
skin tones up on the curve and flattens out the contrast--in the past
I've gotten very good results from this trick when dealing with people
who have facial blemishes.
