I, too, plan on getting a G4 one >of these days for my PhotoShop work. But 5 percent of the market is not >"back from the dead." Apple could have been where Microsoft is today - had >they had Gates marketing genius. Instead, they are "back from the dead" as a >boutique manufacturer. --> Apple was managed by a man lacking vision who never gave much to the computer world much to Pepsi and even more to his ego; it nearly toppled the firm. --> Enter the natural leader Steve Jobs, made to order for this creative and daring corporation. Here's marketing genius at work: gain back all market share, get out of the red and manage to show substantial profits + create an even more daring "alien" computer, the iMAC and sway millions of NEW customers who actually use their computer most every day + go wild and build a 128 bit $2500 workstation computer that can hold its own against many mainframes in use today, the G4 + go about building a multi pronged business strategy that's so believable that the stocks went from abysmal to stellar, worth more than 4 to 5 times, then some, what they were when the ego pampering "marketing guys" had brought Apple near extinction. Please: don't anybody ever tell me about Bill Gates who has DESTROYED so many good firms, so many careers he ought to get shot this very day ! --> If anybody ever tells you a "work flow" Windows environment is "just like a Mac", just try getting rid of a file in less than 20 seconds on the piece of cra_ then go to a MAC: zip ... zap ! Try your best with all sorts of "illegal" things on a PC and see the MAC OS ( 8.1+ ) just breeze through just about any hurdle and get the job done without even having to think you're using a computer. Add the REAL FUN. Not that PCs can't be good machines, just than there are very few Mac users who'd E N J O Y using a PC by comparison. Yes: I sold Macintosh computers for a year and luv them. No: I'll never do business with Dell Computer again, though it really is excellent quality equipment. Bill Gates' Windows ? No thanks. SONY's major personnel policy is "the right people for the right job". Leica just did that, will adjust and survive. Think different ! ( How did YOU ever get a Leica ??? ) Thank you, Andre Jean Quintal
