Others love theirs on this list. It seemed they had to be optimized for a certain camera. The Winder M has had none of it's problems. It workds. Sometimes the roll ends with a bit of a feeling of tension. But release the R lever and the tension is released. I fond that a tad disconcerting a hundred or so rolls ago for many years. It just works. Interchanging it between an FE-2 with MD-12 back and forth makes you appreciate it more. It's darn nice seeing that studio strobe go off repeatedly and very quietly in your Leica M finder. I'd shot thousands of rolls with the FE-2 with MD-12 combination and the Leica with winder is a better tool. I blast away at f11 with my 90 Elmarit or 135 APO and never miss my focus. I'm able to concentrate my attention on the subject matter like never before. Over and out. Mark Rabiner Without the strobe going off the model would not even know you had clicked the shutter if they were 15 feet away for full lengths especially with music playing. They can not even use the visual stimulus of the automatic diaphragm as there is not one.
