I notice it when I'm inspecting/cleaning the lens, but somehow, it has never really interefered with shooting. I'm very pleased with the lens, overall. It's even an improvement over the Elmarit 90, which is no small feat! I wish there was a way to use the flip polarizer with it, but I expect if they made the flip pol large enough to accomodate this lens, it would interefere with the RF. - --Jim - -----Original Message----- From: Rob Schneider-Laura Tully [mailto:robslaurat@earthlink.net] Sent: Tuesday, November 30, 1999 10:04 AM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: RE: [Leica] 90 APO (and squishy focusing rings) Jim, LONG, POINTLESS THREAD ALERT! I have a new 90 Summicron-R that does the same thing -- too much pressure on the focusing ring and it binds. The really interesting aspect is that it is worse when the camera is held in Portrait mode (shutter button up). After the holidays it's going back to Leica NJ for a checkup. Until then, I'm enjoying using it too much. Rob Schneider Jim Laurel wrote: > I have been using this lens for some months now, and I can report that there > are no quality problems in evidence.
