Peter Stackpole shot his project on the Golden Gate Bridge being built and when he showed the prints to Ansel Adams, the senior photographer congratulated him on getting a large format camera. And Andre Kertesz used to shoot in 35mm and make the prints at home and take them in to his clients in New York telling them he used 4 x 5 because they told them that was the minimum size they allowed for inclusion in their publication. It only goes to show that 35mm has more potential for quality than it's given credit, and editors are sometimes not as discriminating as they imagine they are.
